About DC Teacher Training
We run high-quality Cambridge-accredited CELTA courses in multiple UK locations and online. We train hundreds of CELTA candidates each year making us one of the biggest CELTA providers globally. Our team includes experienced and qualified CELTA and DELTA trainers, assessors, and academic managers. We set up DC Teacher Training because CELTA opened doors for us, and we’re proud to support others starting their teaching careers.
Danny Wilkins
Danny is the co-founder and director of DC Teacher Training and oversees operations and the overall student experience on our courses. He has worked as an English teacher in fifteen countries and previously managed one of the largest CELTA centres in the UK. His background shapes the supportive, practical approach we take with our trainee teachers. He believes CELTA can open up a genuinely global career, just as it did for him.

Connor O'Donoghue
Connor is the co-founder and director of DC Teacher Training and is responsible for the strategic and academic direction of the company. He worked as a teacher, a teacher trainer, a training manager, and a centre director before founding DC Teacher Training with Danny. He has a PhD in Education. He loves how practical CELTA is, and he still uses the skills he learned on his own CELTA course over twenty years ago.
Jez Uden
Jez is the Head of Teacher Training at DC Teacher Training and oversees course staffing and trainee support. He has worked in English Language Teaching for over twenty-five years and has held senior leadership roles in both educational and corporate settings. He holds an MA in ELT. Jez is also a published author on second language reading and brings an informed, learner-centred approach to supporting our trainees.
Jenny Billinge
Jenny is the Training and Development Manager at DC Teacher Training and oversees applications, trainee interviews and post-course careers support. She studied French and Russian before moving to St Petersburg, where she taught English for over 20 years. Jenny has been a CELTA tutor in London for more than a decade and is known for her supportive, thoughtful guidance throughout the trainee journey.

Jacqueline Douglas
Jacqueline is a CELTA tutor and teacher educator with 25 years' experience on 5 continents, and still loves working on CELTA as on each course it's so rewarding helping teachers develop.
Sezgi Yalin
Sezgi is a CELTA Tutor who has worked online and in the US, the UK, Lebanon, Vietnam, Spain, and many more. She enjoys teaching creative writing using ideas from her children's book series, Jack-the-Cat's Adventures.
Lee Prescott
Lee is a CELTA Tutor who has worked in English Language Teaching since 2007 and has taught in China, Japan, and Brazil. He is inspired by the practical nature of CELTA and the transformational potential it has on the lives of people who take it.
Bahar Adiyaman
Bahar is a CELTA tutor who has taught in the UK, Turkey and online. She's known for a practical, feedback-driven approach and a particular passion for developing trainees’ classroom management skills.
Simon Marshall
Simon has over 40 years' experience as a CELTA and DELTA trainer. He has also taught in over 30 countries, including one where the input room was constantly assailed by monkeys!
Simon Connolly
Simon has worked on CELTA courses in Ireland, Spain and online. One of the many things he loves about CELTA is how it helps participants build on their individual strengths by incorporating new techniques and reflecting on their development.
Patricia Ferraz
Patricia is a CELTA and DELTA tutor and assessor who has trained teachers in Vietnam, China, Mauritius, and the UK. She is especially passionate about helping new teachers develop the practical classroom skills that directly improve learner outcomes.
Elena Malinovskaya
Elena is a CELTA tutor based in Latvia who has trained teachers from every continent except Antarctica both face-to-face and online since 2015. She’s a co-author of English school course books in Belarus.
Edna Equihua Barragan
Edna is a CELTA and Delta tutor and assessor. She has trained in The United States, Canada, Germany, Spain, Mexico, and the UK. She is interested in helping participants to develop their classroom management skills by incorporating new techniques and online resources.
